ATA HAREISA APPEAL: We hope you have enjoyed a meaningful Yomim Noraim and that you continue to celebrate a joyful Sukkot. As you know, on Simchat Torah, we hold our annual "Atah Haraisa" appeal on behalf of our Shul. This appeal is one of our most important fundraisers of the year (second only to our annual dinner) and provides critical funds to allow us to continue to meet our projected annual expenses. We would like to solicit as many "Ata Hareisa" pledges as possible prior to Simchat Torah. We ask that you contribute generously to this very important fundraiser for our Shul. We ask you to consider matching or, if possible, increasing your pledge from last year. (We hope to send out a reminder to those who generously pledged last year as to their prior pledged amount). As time is short, if we do not hear from you soon, we will try to reach you directly. Boruch Hashem, our Shul has seen tremendous growth (membership and attendance is growing), however, this growth is accompanied by an increasing budget. Our Shul relies almost entirely on support from its members and friends to fund operations and we need your help. Please make a pledge before Yom Tov by sending an email with your pledge amount to FINANCE@ecdp.info, logging on to eitzchayim.shulcloud.com or dropping off a check in our Shul mailbox (located next to the Sprague Avenue entrance). Thank you in advance for your generous support and we look forward to seeing you on Yom Tov. The Officers of ECDP

The Schwartz family has asked that everyone plant trees in memory of Ezra. Together we can collectively plant a vineyard that will show the world something beautiful. If ECDP plants at least 100 trees collectively we will have our own permanently installed sign with the Shul's name and logo in the "Ezra Schwartz Vineyard". Trees can be planted at www.Trees4Ezra.org. Please be sure to use this link only as it has Eitz Chayim’s code built in so we can track how many trees were planted through ECDP.

IDENTIFICATION FOR CHILDREN: Parents should consider getting some form of ID for their children to carry with them at all times. Below is a link to one such website. Carrying ID is so important and quite inexpensive - starting at about $20. It is good to have on for Shabbat, biking, walking, running etc. when kids (or even adults) don't carry ID.
