JOKE OF THE WEEK:

A: Isru Hog!
PARSHA THOUGHT OF THE WEEK:
it came time for Hashem to choose a leader to take the Jews out of Egypt, most
people might imagine that this future leader would have certain qualities.
Perhaps Hashem should choose someone who: a) grew up in the house of a Tzaddik,
surrounded by positive influences, b) was very eager for the position of
leadership from day one, and c) someone with a very strong voice so that people
would listen to him. However, Moshe, the person that Hashem eventually chose,
was the complete opposite of all of these qualities! He grew up in the house
of Pharaoh, in a country known to be very immoral. He was very hesitant to
be the leader, and was very humble. He did not want the attention or the
responsibility. And third, he had a speech impediment and people could not
understand him so well when he spoke. This serves as an important lesson to all
of us. A person might not come from the best home, or might not have the best
influences in his life. You might be a very humble person and might not like
being put in the spotlight. You might not be able to speak so well that people
stop and listen to you, you may not think that you could be a leader at all!
But none of that should stop you! Everyone has the potential, no matter what
their strengths and backgrounds are, to be a strong leader of the Jewish
people, and we see that from Moshe.

we can collectively plant a vineyard that will show the world something
beautiful. If ECDP plants at least 100 trees collectively we will have our
own permanently installed sign with the Shul's name and logo in the "Ezra
